Privacy Policy
Effective August 19, 2026
This policy explains, in plain language, what information Orven uses to run private live classes and what choices you have.
The short version
- We collect only the information needed to provide and protect the service.
- We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
- Classes are not recorded by default.
- You can ask to access, correct, or delete your information.
1. Information we collect
Account and security. Your name, email address, profile image if you add one, sign-in records, active sessions, passkeys you register, and basic browser, device, and network information used to keep your account secure. Face, fingerprint, and device unlock checks stay on your device.
Classes and bookings. Class details, reservations, attendee name, email address, timezone, attendance and join status, reminders, cancellations, and related support history.
Information you choose to add. This can include a creator application, public profile, photo, bio, public links, private class notes, feedback, reviews, and messages sent during a live class.
Service activity. Essential cookies and local browser storage, pages and features used, security events, and technical diagnostics. If optional analytics is enabled, it is limited to product activity and excludes names, email addresses, private notes, messages, and booking or join links.
Payments, when available. We may keep transaction status, amounts, refunds, and payout references. Payment details such as full card or bank account numbers are collected and handled by a payment service, not stored by Orven.
2. How we use information
- Create and secure your account.
- Reserve seats, run classes, manage attendance, and provide authorized replays.
- Send sign-in links, confirmations, reminders, cancellations, and security notices.
- Show creator profiles, class details, and reviews that are marked as public.
- Provide support, prevent abuse, investigate problems, and improve reliability.
- Meet legal, accounting, and safety obligations.
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not build advertising profiles.
3. Who can see information
Your teacher. The teacher for a class can see the information needed to run it, including attendee names, booking and attendance status, contact information, and feedback intended for the teacher.
Other class participants. During a live class, participants can see or hear the name, camera, microphone, screen share, reactions, and class messages you choose to use.
The public. Creator profiles, public class details, and reviews clearly presented as public may be visible without signing in. Private notes and private feedback are not public.
Companies that help run the service. We use service providers for hosting and storage, email, live video, account security, customer support, diagnostics, analytics when enabled, and payments when enabled. They receive only the information needed to perform those functions.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, or as part of a business transfer. We do not disclose it for unrelated marketing.
4. Live classes, notes, and recordings
Camera and microphone access requires your device permission. When enabled, your audio and video are transmitted to the people in the class. Other participants may be able to capture what they can see or hear, so share only what you are comfortable sharing.
Classes are not recorded by default. If recording is made available, the room will show a recording notice. Any replay is limited to the teacher and authorized attendees.
Notes saved in the notes area are private to your account. Live chat is visible to the class. Feedback is shown according to the label beside the feedback form, either privately to the teacher or publicly as a review.
5. How long we keep information
- Account and profile information is kept while your account is active.
- Class, booking, attendance, and transaction records are kept as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal or accounting requirements.
- Security events and technical diagnostics are kept for a limited period based on the reason they were collected.
- Recordings are kept only while they are made available or needed for a valid legal or safety reason.
When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. Limited copies may remain temporarily in protected backups.
6. Your choices and rights
- Update your name, profile, public links, passkeys, and active sessions.
- Ask for a copy of personal information associated with your account.
- Ask us to correct or delete information, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Contact us about optional analytics or any privacy concern.
Sign-in, booking, class, and security messages are part of the service and cannot be turned off while the related account or booking remains active.
Send requests to support@orven.live. We may verify your identity before completing a request and will respond within the period required by applicable law.
7. Security and international processing
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No online service can promise absolute security, so protect your email account, passkeys, and private class links and contact us if something looks wrong.
Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. We use appropriate protections when applicable law requires them.
8. Children
Account holders must be at least 18 years old. A minor may attend only through an account managed by a parent or legal guardian and with appropriate adult supervision. We do not knowingly create accounts for children.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide reasonable notice before it takes effect.
Questions or requests can be sent to support@orven.live.
